Held annually on the second Saturday in September, the Fayette County Cotton Festival celebrates its 20th year this fall. The family-friendly event, which draws in over 3,500 attendees, celebrates agriculture in Fayette County with a variety of food and craft vendors, live musical entertainment, a car show, a canning and cooking contest, and the annual Fayette Cares High Cotton 5K Color Run and Walk.

The festival also features a kid center with children’s activities, as well as the Lil’ Miss and Miss Cotton Festival Pageant for girls.

This year’s festival takes place Sept. 14 on the Historic Somerville Square. For more information, visit or call (901) 465-8690.
