20th Annual Townsend Spring Festival and Old Timer’s Day

The annual festival showcases traditional mountain culture including bluegrass music, arts and crafts, clogging, guided wildflower hikes, family activities, storytelling, Appalachian artisans and demonstrations. Old Timers Day will also feature many events including The Black Bear Expo at Trillium Cove and the annual Young Pickers Talent Contest, a contest for bluegrass musicians 18 years and under.   1. Love Lavender Festival 2012 June 9 & 10

    We previously attempted to contact you regarding an upcoming festival in Jonesborough, TN. The 2012 Love Lavender Festival will be held in historic Jonesborough, TN June 9 & 10. The festival is listed on the Jonesborough, TN event list and will feature lavender farms in the area, live musice, with vendors featuring local crafts, honey, lavender food and other agriculture products. There will classes each day on lavender: The History of Lavender as an Herb, Medicinal Uses of Lavender, Lavender in Culinary, Growing Lavender (A Master Gardener), and lavender plants for sale. The festival is sponsored by Scott County Lavender Store, A Lavender Manor, the Eureka Inn, and others.
