Mural in Linden, TN

The annual Blooming Arts Festival, slated for March 20-21, 2020, celebrates the beauty, culture, and revitalization of Linden and Perry County. Featuring a wide range of family-friendly events, the festival offers fine art displays, craft demonstrations, musical performances, children’s activities and much more.

“[It’s] just great days of fun,” says Michael Dumont, festival organizer. “Our downtown flourishes.”

Restaurants and street vendors provide a diverse sampling of local food, and guided tours proudly display newly revitalized areas of Linden, such as the downtown arts district, the new Heritage and Visitor Center, and the restored Commodore Hotel Linden. Town officials, including Mayor Wess Ward, greet visitors each year and show off the town’s new attractions.

At the event, regional artists present an eclectic mix of wood carvings, pottery, stained glass, weavings, jewelry, paintings, quilts, dolls and gourds.

Great Idea and wonderful way to pull the community together! Our little town of Jefferson City is needing the same face lift. I am a mural artist making a living doing all sorts of faux and mural work in the surrounding counties and would love to see the downtown area of Jefferson City create beautiful lively bright murals too! Did you get any government aid for such work? Is there any place you recommend looking for extra funds that will help supplement this kind of work?
My site is if you want to take a peak! Thanks for the wonderful uplifting article! Regann

Attended Blooming Arts Festival as a vendor, “Pottery by Robyn”, had a wonderful time meeting so many fine new friends. I was greatly impressed by Linden’s community efforts to support the arts and showcase the beauty and friendliness of your town. This event was superbly organized and conducted by staff and dedicated volunteers. Good work, people!!! Thank you. I hope to return in 2013!
