Historic Collinsville

Take a step back in time at the Historic Collinsville pioneer settlement in south Montgomery County. The settlement’s 40-acre grounds feature 16 restored log homes, authentic period furnishings and artifacts showcasing what life was like in rural Tennessee in the mid-1800s.

Visitors will also enjoy picnic areas, walking trails and a wildlife center displaying examples of Tennessee flora and fauna.

Historic Collinsville’s season runs April through October, with several special events taking place throughout the year. This spring, the settlement will host Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 4, with age-based egg hunts, lawn games, food trucks and more. On April 25, the 2020 season officially kicks off with the annual Spring Homecoming event when all settlement structures will be open for tours. The event includes guides in period costumes, live music, kids’ games and activities such as blacksmithing, yarn making and storytelling.
