Reindeer in Dixie

Reindeer in Dixie

Look out, Rudolph, there are some new reindeer in town. Sugar Belle and Silver Bells star in Reindeer in Dixie, the fun and festive story of reindeer sisters who are sent by Santa to live in the warm city of Nashville.

The picture book, written by Phillip and Esther Lee of College Grove, was inspired by their time raising real-life reindeer on their hilltop farm near Nashville. They took the reindeer to visit children and adults at the Ronald McDonald house each year and were touched by the effects they had on the residents, which encouraged them to share the story.

This book reflects traditions. Many are only found in Tennessee. Our Volunteer State is just that, we volunteer. We help our neighbors, we help those less fortunate, we help so that others have a moment of joy. It could be a fresh baked apple pie from Tennessee grown apples, a hay ride through Cades Cove, or a couple of beautiful deer entertaining children and adults, opening their eyes to the magical time of the Christmas season, a Tennessee Christmas. It would be wonderful to receive this book to share with those now and generations to come.

      Hi Vickie,

Thanks for your comment. Because this is a holiday book, we decided to end the contest early so that the winner could receive the prize before Christmas.
