Copperhead Carpentry

Montie Crouch creates unique, handcrafted furniture and art at Copperhead Creek Carpentry & Studio in Hampshire. Although he can build just about anything, one of his current projects involves using reclaimed tobacco sticks from a Maury County farm to create items like serving trays, benches and chairs. In addition, Montie designs and builds customized pieces for customers using repurposed materials, such as century-old barn wood.

Copperhead Creek’s shop is open Thursday – Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and a variety of Montie’s creations are available for purchase at Oak & Lace in downtown Columbia. To learn more about Montie and his designs, visit or call (931) 805-3111.

UPDATE: Copperhead Creek opened their new retail shop in April 2017 in the downtown area of The Village of Hampshire.
