The October Sky Festival is a free Oliver Springs annual tradition that celebrates the heritage of a coal-mining area with a varied history. Many Victorian-era homes still remain in the city nestled in the valley of surrounding mountains. The October Sky Festival features delightful handmade crafts, regional food to entice you, rocket launches for the kids, tours of the Museum and old Train Depot, area musicians entertaining the crowd and over 100 vendors set up throughout Arrowhead Park.
