It wouldn’t be summertime without delicious, sizzling eats on the grill. Check out our tips and tricks on equipment and technique for grilling perfection:

  • Always use tongs or spatulas to move steaks on the grill. Poking with a fork or knife allows tasty juices to escape.
  • When grilling fruits and vegetables, medium heat works best. Make sure grates are thoroughly oiled if placing produce directly on the grill.
  • Grill woks or baskets are convenient for big batches of cut vegetables. Use them as you would a skillet on the stovetop, stirring foods frequently.
  • For perfect diamond grill marks, place your steak on the grill with the ends at 10 and 4 o’clock. Once meat has seared, turn them clockwise, with ends at 2 and 8 o’clock.
