Strawberry Pretzel Salad

This recipe for Strawberry Pretzel Salad is a favorite. It’s crazy that it’s called “salad.” The berries are frozen, so it’s not season-specific. I tried to make a healthy version of this classic with yogurt, less sugar, less butter and fresh berries. Let’s just say that I ruined it. Some things are meant to be what they are meant to be. This is not pretending to be health food. If you’ve never made this before, be warned that the generous sugar measurements are correct. Everyone seems to love the salty pretzel, sweet fruit, creamy filling and crunchy crust. It’s a hit every time.

Editor’s note: As noted on the recipe link, this calls for 20 ounces (2 packages) of frozen strawberries. The ingredient amount was listed incorrectly in our Fall 2019 issue, and we apologize for the error.

Your recipe in Fall 2019 issue is confusing.
The Strawberry Pretzel Salad recipe calls for only 2 oz. of strawberries.
    What is the correct amount?

I also have this recipe and it calls for two 10-ounce pkgs. of frozen strawberries.
