Kinder Garden in Crossville

The UT Plateau AgResearch Center in Crossville is growing tiny green thumbs with its new Kinder Garden.

The new garden aims to serve as an outdoor classroom for children up to age 6, focusing on developing motor skills and engaging the five senses. Kids will have the chance to taste different plants and herbs, crawl through a bean tunnel, play with different permanently installed instruments, and learn more about vegetables and gardening projects.

A project of the Cumberland County Master Gardeners, the Kinder Garden combines science, math and language lessons with nature, creativity and responsibility skills.
