Do you know what a group of chickens is called? How about a bunch of cows – the answer isn’t cattle! Here are some of our favorite animal group names that might surprise you.

A group is historically called a kine. If more than 12 cows are together, that’s a flink. Of course, a “cow” refers to a mature female of cattle, but Merriam-Webster does have an alternate definition where it’s any domestic bovine, regardless of gender or age.
