1. Pick your peaches from higher up in the tree for better flavor.

“If you’re picking your own peaches, the ones in the tops of the trees are generally more flavorful than the low-lying fruit on the bottoms of the tree,” Jones says. “The more sunlight the fruit receives, the higher quality and more flavorful the fruit will be.”
